As the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) and Co-Founder of Borthakur’s IAS Academy, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of aspiring civil servants. Born in Bihpuria, Lakhimpur district, Assam, Bandana was raised in an environment where education and literature were highly valued. Inspired by her father, she pursued writing and journalism, working with renowned media houses like The Sentinel, Prag News, and NE TV. Her passion for storytelling and communication helped her connect with people from diverse backgrounds, making her an influential voice in Assamese media.

Her transition from journalism to education was driven by a vision to empower the youth of Northeast India. In 2014, she established Borthakur’s IAS Academy, which has now grown into a premier institute guiding thousands of civil service aspirants. Under her leadership, the academy has expanded beyond Assam, reinforcing her commitment to education and empowerment.
